Collection: Cord Bracelets

KAGAKI · CORD BRACELETS

Handwoven cord, knot by knot, in the Tibetan-inspired tradition.

KAGAKI cord bracelets are made from handwoven cotton and silk cord, shaped through patterns drawn respectfully from Tibetan, Himalayan, and Japanese knot traditions. The studio's term is Tibetan-inspired — these are contemporary handmade pieces, not consecrated religious objects, and the framing matters. The cord is measured by hand. The knots are tied at the speed a person can tie a knot. Each piece holds a small symbolic intention: protection, friendship, grounding, courage, or quiet companionship across distance.

The collection spans single-color cord pieces in red string and natural neutrals, multicolor protection bracelets in five-color thread, couple bracelets where two cords stay linked across distance, and friendship pieces given to mark a quieter kind of bond. The cord softens on the wrist over months, and the knot stays close to the pulse. That is the point.

If you want to understand the symbolism, Tibetan bracelet meaning walks through the knot, the protection thread, and what the studio's cord work draws from. Questions

Are these authentic Tibetan religious bracelets?

No. KAGAKI cord bracelets are Tibetan-inspired — they draw from the design language of Tibetan and Himalayan knot work with respect, but they are contemporary handmade studio pieces, not religious objects. We do not consecrate them, and we do not recite mantras during making.

What does the central knot mean?

The central knot in many of our cord bracelets is an interlocking form — two looped lines that stay linked rather than tied closed. It carries the symbolic register of staying connected, holding center, and keeping protection that is not closed off. The longer treatment is in Tibetan bracelet meaning.

What does each color mean?

Color symbolism varies across traditions. Red is widely associated with protection and life force. Blue with calm and clarity. Multicolor pieces (five-color thread) draw from the Tibetan tradition of representing the five elements. We treat color symbolism gently — pieces are chosen for what feels true to the wearer, not by chart.

How do I care for a cord bracelet?

Cord bracelets are sensitive to water and harsh chemicals. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping. The cord softens with wear over months — that is the natural patina of handmade cord. Full care guidance: Jewelry care.

Are cord bracelets good for men?

Yes. Adjustable cord pieces in red, black, indigo, or natural-fiber tones are unisex. The Tibetan-inspired knot patterns translate well across all wrists.
