Design Concept

Sakura – 桜 began with a single charm — a five-petal cherry blossom in gold-tone metal, no larger than a fingernail, kept at front-center of a round-braided natural fiber cord. The kanji 桜 names the cherry blossom and the brief season it brings. The piece is offered in three deep registers — ink for the still air before bloom, moss for the week the trees are full, vermilion for the warmth that arrives after the petals fall. Each carries the same charm; each marks a different moment in one season.

Material & Craft

Handmade with round-braided natural fiber cord with a pink-and-gold accent band woven through the front section. A single gold-tone metal sakura cherry blossom charm (5-petal) sits at front-center, with two small accent beads on either side. Sliding adjustable closure. Each cord is hand-tied; the precise placement of the charm and the catch of the accent thread carry small natural variation between pieces.

Energy & Intention

Cherry blossom holds, in Japanese tradition, the discipline of paying attention to a season that will not last. The practice of hanami — going out, sitting under the trees, looking up — is built around a peak that arrives differently every year and is rarely longer than ten days. The bracelet is designed for the wearer who keeps a long companionship — with a place, with a person, with a practice — and who knows by now that even the long things move in seasons. Worn through the three deep registers (ink, moss, vermilion), the piece holds the count of years spent paying attention to what would not stay forever.

Who It's For

For the wearer who finds the long-form season — who watches for the first cherry trees to bloom each spring, who keeps a journal of weather, who lives in deep tones year-round. The three registers are designed for someone who does not want a bright cord against linen and who reads the year by what is in flower.

Gift Idea

A considered gift for an anniversary that has accumulated weight — a long marriage, a long friendship, a long return to oneself. Ink for the year that asked for patience. Moss for the year that fully opened. Vermilion for the year warmth stayed. Arrives in KAGAKI gift-ready packaging.

Care Note

Real natural fiber cord and a hand-finished metal charm are sensitive to water, perfume, lotions, and prolonged sunlight. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Adjust the slide gently. Store flat away from light to keep the cord's color and the charm's finish. See KAGAKI jewelry care for full guidance.
