About KAGAKI
KAGAKI is a small, founder-led studio in Hollywood, California, making handmade bracelets and jewelry from natural stone, cotton and natural-fiber cord. Every piece is braided, strung and finished by hand, in small batches, and ships from Hollywood to customers across the United States.
What we make
Our work sits between two quiet traditions. Tibetan-inspired knots and red-string cords, and Japanese-inspired braiding and naming: most pieces carry a single English word and a single kanji, such as Bloom 桜 or Grove 林. We also make jade, rose quartz, lapis, agate and other natural-stone bracelets, and a few earrings, rings and necklaces.
We are a contemporary studio inspired by these traditions. We do not claim temple lineage, religious authority or guaranteed outcomes. The meanings we write about are traditional associations, offered with respect, not promises.
Who makes it
The studio was founded by Kirin, who also writes the Founder Journal: personal pieces about handmade jewelry, materials and the small daily rituals around them. We read and answer messages ourselves.
How we make it
- By hand, in small batches. There is no factory line. Each piece takes the time it takes, so orders are processed in 3 to 7 business days before they ship.
- Natural materials. Cotton and natural-fiber cord, natural stone beads, and metal findings as noted on each product page. Every product page names the stones used.
- Imperfection on purpose. A mineral line in a stone or a slight asymmetry in a hand-braided knot is part of the material, not a flaw. Read more in our Craft Philosophy.
Our commitments
