Rise – 起 carries a small upward-facing infinity knot — a quiet motif that shows up across many cultures as a symbol of continuation, of one thread returning to itself. The bracelet is hand-tied in a slim cord that wears well under daily clothes. Worn as a small reminder, not as a guaranteed outcome.
Design Concept
Rise – 起 carries a single hand-tied infinity knot at the center of the wrist — tied at a deliberate angle so the eye, glancing down at it, reads small upward motion. The kanji 起 means to wake up, to rise, to begin. The piece is the studio's smallest visual cue: a daily wearable shaped around the simple fact that beginning again is the work of every single morning.
静かな上向きの一歩、結び目に込めて。
Material & Craft
Handmade with hand-braided natural fiber cord, finished with a special infinity-style knot at the centerline of the wrist that gives the piece its name. Sliding adjustable closure at the cord ends for daily wear. Each bracelet is finished by hand; the angle of the knot, the spacing of the braid, and the way the cord softens with wear carry small natural variation between pieces.
Energy & Intention
Knots have long been worn as small symbolic anchors of intention — what is tied is what is kept. The infinity-style knot in particular reads as continuity, the loop that does not end. Combined with an upward visual axis, the piece is designed as a quiet daily reminder of slow, steady forward motion — the discipline of ordinary days, the small choices that compound. Often chosen for milestones, beginnings, recovery seasons, or daily meditation practice.
Who It's For
For the wearer at a beginning — a recovery on day 30, a new sobriety, a return to a discipline that was once abandoned, the first month of a long degree program, the start of a season that asks for daily showing-up. The bracelet does not insist on any particular destination; it just sits at the wrist as a small repeating cue: rise, rise, rise.
Gift Idea
A gift for a deliberate beginning — graduation, the first day of a new practice, a sobriety milestone, the start of a marriage's second decade, a return to work after a long leave. Often kept on the wrist for the first year of the new chapter, and removed only when the wearer realizes they no longer need the reminder. Sent in KAGAKI gift-ready packaging, simple and steady.
Care Note
Real natural fiber cord is sensitive to water, perfume, lotions, and prolonged sunlight. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Adjust the slide gently. Store flat away from light to keep the cord's color and tension. See KAGAKI jewelry care for full guidance.
