Design Concept

Pulse – 鼓 began with a question about where on the body a feeling actually lives. Most of the metaphors live in the chest — but the wrist is where another person actually feels the pulse: thumb-fingers laid lightly across the inside of the wrist, the quiet drumming under the skin. Pulse takes that small physical site seriously. A hand-tied heart-shaped knot sits at the center of the cord — the side that turns toward the body, the side the pulse runs under — so the wearer's own fingertip naturally returns to it across the day.

The hand-braided cord is single-layered, soft, and gives easily under the heart-knot's slight weight. The five color flows let the wearer (or gift-giver) choose the temperature of the bond being marked — a lemon-yellow for cheerful friendship, a coffee brown for the steadier bonds, a soft pink for tenderness, a quiet green for calm partnership, a warm orange for the friend who brings light into a room. The kanji 鼓 means drum: the steady beat that carries on under everything else, the rhythm a person doesn't have to think about but lives by.

Material & Craft

Handmade with hand-braided natural fiber cord, finished with a sliding adjustable closure that suits most adult wrists. The center carries a hand-tied heart-shaped knot — a quiet structural form that reads as a small soft heart held in place by gentle tension. Each bracelet is finished by hand; the shape of the heart knot, the spacing of the braid, and the way the cord softens with wear all carry small natural variation between pieces.

Energy & Intention
