Design Concept

This Pilgrim piece carries a different focal element than its kanji-sibling in the studio's dzi range — here the center is a hand-tied Tibetan Buddhist blessing knot rather than a stone bead. Three variations are offered: Astral Tide in deep blues, Soul Current in twilight purples, Crimson Wish in warm reds. The knot itself is the architecture; the cord and the color choice become the temperature. The kanji 旅 names the journey — but the long-inner-passage kind, not the holiday kind. The piece is designed for the wrist that wants a small woven blessing kept close.

旅の途中の、静かなまもり。

Material & Craft

  • Hand-braided cotton and natural-fiber cord
  • Central Tibetan Buddhist-style blessing knot
  • Adjustable sliding-knot closure
  • Designed for daily wear and slow softening over time

Each bracelet is handwoven; the knot tension and color saturation vary slightly between pieces.

Energy & Intention

A knot, across many Buddhist and Tibetan-inspired traditions, has been read as a small architectural prayer — strands that have agreed to stay in relationship, tension transformed into form. This Pilgrim piece is designed for the wrist in a long passage where what is needed is not the worn-bead register (carried by the studio's dzi-range Pilgrim) but the woven-blessing register: an object that reads as something tied for the journey by someone who cared enough to take the time. The three variations correspond to three weights of passage: Astral Tide for the cool, navigational register; Soul Current for the inward dusk; Crimson Wish for the warmer, more devotional register. The piece is contemporary, handmade, and offered without spiritual claim.

Who It's For

For the wearer in a long inner passage who wants a knot rather than a bead at the wrist — the practitioner of a quieter daily religion, the long-distance pilgrim, the person carrying something inward through what looks from outside like an ordinary year. Three registers let the wearer choose by the temperature of what they are carrying.

Gift Idea

A gift for someone in a long stretch of interior work — a contemplative practice taken up seriously, a year of grief that has not yet ended, a vocation entered into without fanfare. Astral Tide for the cool register; Soul Current for the dusk register; Crimson Wish for the warmer one. Packed with care in KAGAKI gift packaging.
