Design Concept
Knot – 結 carries the simplest possible premise — that a knot, at its most basic, is what happens when two strands agree to stay together. The central form is interlocking: two looped lines meeting at the focal point and remaining linked, neither closed off nor tied down. Twin floral knots flank the focal as gentle supporting accents. The warm red cord is braided by hand. The kanji 結 names tying, binding, connecting — the small structural verb that holds most relationships together when no one is watching.
結ぶこと。それが祈り。
Material & Craft
- Hand-braided cotton and natural-fiber cord in warm red
- Central interlocking knot structure
- Twin floral knot accents
- Adjustable sliding closure
- Gold-tone thread detailing
Each bracelet is handwoven; the spacing of the knots and the saturation of the red vary slightly between pieces.
Energy & Intention
The interlocking knot, distinct from a closed knot, holds a specific structural meaning: not possession, but staying-linked; not intensity, but persistence across time. Knot – 結 is designed for the wearer who would rather mark a friendship — a long sibling closeness, a chosen-family bond, a friendship that has weathered a difficult year — than a romance or a vow. The twin floral accents on either side of the focal soften the structure; the warm red cord adds the older symbolic register of protection across distance. The piece is contemporary, handmade, and offered as a reminder of relational steadiness rather than as a guarantee of anything.
Who It's For
For the friend who has stayed — through the move, through the hard year, through the long stretch of not being able to talk every week — and who would appreciate a small object that names the staying. Knot is most often bought singly (for the keeper) or in pairs (one for each friend), and reads quietly enough to wear in any setting.
Gift Idea
A gift for a friendship that has earned its own register — the friend who knows your worst year, the sibling who is also your closest peer, the chosen-family relation that does not have an easy social label. Often given in pairs; a single piece is also a complete gift. Presented in KAGAKI gift packaging.
