Short description

A quiet handmade earring built from gathered things — a small wood bead, a cream petal cluster, a dried cone pod, set on antique-bronze hardware. Forager – 採 is a study in the textures the natural world leaves behind, made wearable.

Design concept

Forager – 採 began as a desk-corner study — a small pile of dried botanical fragments collected on slow walks, arranged and rearranged for weeks before the form settled. The kanji 採 carries the sense of gathering and selecting from what is already there. Each earring layers three natural elements: a deep purple-toned wood bead at the top, a soft cream petal cluster in the middle, and a small dried cone pod as the lowest weight. The hardware is antique-bronze rather than bright brass — closer to the color of fallen leaves than to the color of new metal. The two earrings are made as a matched pair; small variation between the dried elements is part of the piece, not a flaw.

Material conversation

Handmade with antique-bronze hardware and natural dried botanical elements: a deep-purple-toned wood bead, a soft cream petal cluster, and a small dried cone pod per earring. Bronze hooks for secure daily wear. The dried elements are natural and will hold their character for years if kept dry; a small softening of color over very long wear is normal. Lightweight overall — heavier in visual presence than in physical weight on the ear.

Energy & intention

Forager – 採 is a small object for the person who pays attention to what most people walk past — the fallen seed pod, the perfect petal on the sidewalk, the small natural object that asks to be noticed. The piece carries the quiet associations of grounded daily attention: noticing what is already here, gathering what feels meaningful, letting the small textures of a season become part of how one moves through the world. No claims beyond that.

Who it's for

For the wearer who prefers earthy textures over polished metal. For the friend who notices the dried magnolia on the sidewalk before noticing the building behind it. For the person who has been quietly drawn to wabi-sabi without necessarily using the word. For the gift-giver who wants a piece that reads as personal and made-by-hand rather than purchased.

Gift idea

A thoughtful birthday or housewarming gift for a friend who keeps small natural things on their windowsill. Thoughtfully wrapped in KAGAKI gift-ready packaging. Pairs naturally with KAGAKI's wider conversation on handmade objects designed with care.

Care note

Wipe the bronze hardware gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid water, perfume, hairspray, and salt air for the dried botanical elements. Store flat in the presentation box or a small soft pouch when not worn. Dried natural elements are durable but not waterproof — treat the piece like a small handmade object, because that is what it is.
