Design Concept

Gleam – 光 began with the kind of quiet piece a wearer returns to without thinking. A carved mother-of-pearl butterfly with rainbow iridescence, suspended on a strand of clear faceted crystal — every movement catches a different light. The piece is designed to sit close to the body — light enough to forget, present enough to be found by the hand during the day. The kanji 光 means light — a small visual anchor for what the necklace is about.

Material & Craft

Carved natural-shell butterfly (~22mm, off-white with soft iridescence, wing-vein carving), two frosted-crystal teardrop drops below, faceted clear-crystal rondelle strand (~2mm) with freshwater pearl accents. Each piece is finished by hand in small batches. Small variation in stone tone or knot position is part of the made-by-hand register, not a defect.

Energy & Intention

The butterfly is the oldest shorthand for becoming — worn in shell and light rather than metal and statement. KAGAKI treats this register interpretively, not as a religious or medical claim — a small daily reminder rather than a promise.
