Design Concept

A pair of small preserved real rose buds, kept by a single white freshwater pearl and a fine gold-tone hook. The petal layers carry the subtle curl of a flower held just past full bloom — the deep wine of the rose deepened, softened, kept. Beside the rose, the pearl sits quietly. Worn together, the pair holds two slow forms of beauty: the flower that was, and the small round seed that remains. A small daily reminder of what stays.

Material & Craft

• One preserved real rose bud per earring, deep wine-red / burgundy, with natural petal layers and the soft dehydration curl of a kept flower
• One white freshwater pearl per earring (slightly elongated baroque, milky lustre, approximately 7–9 mm)
• Small gold-tone metal cap connector between rose and pearl
• Gold-tone metal french hook ear wire with a small ball / coil detail at the base
• Light jump ring linkage

Each rose bud was picked, preserved, and finished by hand. Color, petal arrangement, and the curve of each bud carry small natural variation between pairs — no two are alike, and the slight asymmetry between left and right is the truth of working with a real flower rather than a uniform replica.

The rose has long been associated with tenderness, vow, and quiet promise — and the dried form, traditionally, with the keeping of a moment past its bloom. Paired with the pearl, the piece is designed as a soft daily reminder: tenderness can be carried; what was is allowed to remain.
