Design Concept
Cascade – 滝 began with a different question than most cord bracelets answer. Most bracelets stop at the wrist; Cascade does not. A soft tassel detail extends below the closure, so the piece continues a few centimeters past where it should end — and that small downward continuation is the entire design idea. The wrist gains a quiet visual fall: a small bit of cord that moves a half-second after the hand does, the way water moves a half-second after the rock it falls past.
Above the tassel, the cord is double-layered hand-braided — fuller than a single strand, so the piece carries a slightly more substantial visual weight than KAGAKI's other cord bracelets. The closure carries a quiet safe knot for structural anchoring, with a small decorative knot (in the sakura-knot style) sitting above it as a passing floral touch — a construction detail, not the main register. The visual weight stays at the tassel, which is the cascade itself. The kanji 滝 means waterfall: the long downward motion that sounds quieter than it looks.
静かに落ちる、水のような一筋。
Material & Craft
Handmade with hand-braided natural fiber cord, double-layered for a slightly fuller feel against the wrist, finished with a sliding adjustable closure that suits most adult wrists. The closure carries a small safe knot with a small decorative knot accent; a soft tassel detail finishes the cord tail. Each bracelet is finished by hand; the spacing of the braid, the tension of the knots, and the way the cord softens with wear all carry small natural variation between pieces.
Energy & Intention
A waterfall is one of the few moving things in nature that, watched long enough, looks still. The water is always falling; the shape never changes. Cascade translates that small visual paradox into a wearable form — a tassel below the wrist that moves continuously with the hand, never demanding to be watched, never holding still. The piece is built for the wearer who would rather let things move than try to hold them in place: emotional release rather than emotional grip, breath flowing downward rather than catching in the chest, the quiet rhythm of water rather than the louder rhythms of effort.
The kanji 滝 means waterfall — the long downward motion that sounds quieter than it looks. The five color flows each suit a different temperature of falling water. Deep Stillness (blue) for the deep slow pool — the version of stillness that comes from depth rather than from holding. Soft Beginning (pink and light green) for the first thaw of new water — softness moving forward after a closed season. Quiet Release (soft pink) for the single quiet fall of a slow morning — one small release at a time. Warm Courage (red) for the warm vertical light of late afternoon — courage carried softly. Open Flow (multicolor) for the moving water that catches light differently every second — change held without resistance. Cascade can be worn as a small daily reminder that movement can still be calm — a reminder, not a guarantee.
Who It's For
For wearers who like jewelry with a small visual rhythm — the tassel at the end of the cord that moves with the hand. Cascade sits cleanly on a bare wrist or under a sleeve, layers easily with other KAGAKI cord bracelets, and works equally well as a quiet daily piece or as a gift for someone moving through a season of softness, change, or quiet celebration.
Gift Idea
A considered gift for a friend who likes a small visible gesture, a partner moving through a soft personal season, or anyone who appreciates a piece that moves quietly with the hand. Five quiet intentions — Still, Spring, Petal, Ember, and Koi — let the giver choose the temperature that suits the recipient. Thoughtfully wrapped in KAGAKI gift-ready packaging.
Care Note
Real natural fiber cord is sensitive to water, perfume, lotions, and prolonged sunlight. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Adjust the slide gently. Smooth the tassel back into shape with the fingers if it bends in storage. Store flat away from light to keep the cord's color and tension. See KAGAKI jewelry care for full guidance.
