A soft pastel cord woven with a small sakura motif — named for the slender branch on which the flower opens. KAGAKI uses sakura as a quiet symbol of brief, present attention rather than a fixed cultural claim.
Design Concept
Branch – 枝 holds the same sakura-inspired floral charm as Sakura – 桜, but the cord underneath has been softened into mist blue, the color of the sky an hour before sunrise on a cold morning, or dawn pink, the color of that same sky when the first warmth reaches it. A thin pink thread is wrapped through the front section, catching the light differently than the cord around it. The kanji 枝 names a branch — the simple holding place where a blossom is kept. The piece is designed for the part of a season that has not yet declared itself.
枝。
Material & Craft
Handmade with round-braided natural fiber cord in two color registers (mist blue or dawn pink), threaded with a thin pink wrap. A single gold-tone metal sakura cherry blossom charm (5-petal) sits at front-center, flanked by two small gold-tone round beads. Sliding adjustable closure. Each cord is hand-braided; the precise placement of the charm and the catch of the pink thread carry small natural variation between pieces.
Energy & Intention
Where Sakura – 桜 holds the weight of a season returned to, Branch – 枝 holds the moment just before bloom. The mist blue cord remembers the still, blue-grey light before dawn — when nothing has happened yet, when the day is unwritten. Dawn pink remembers the moment the light first warms. The piece is designed as a small daily kindness to the wearer who is moving through a tender opening — early grief, early healing, early love, the early days of a quieter life. The softness is not decoration. The softness is the point.
Who It's For
For someone in a delicate season — a recent transition, a soft new chapter, a slow recovery — who needs an object on the wrist that does not demand brightness in return. The pastel cord is designed to read as comfort rather than ornament.
Gift Idea
A gentle gift for someone in a tender passage — early grief, recovery, postpartum, the first year of a deliberate quiet. The two registers let the gift carry the weather of the moment: mist blue for the held-breath stretch, dawn pink for the slow return of color. Wrapped with care, ready to give.
Care Note
Real natural fiber cord and a hand-finished metal charm are sensitive to water, perfume, lotions, and prolonged sunlight. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Adjust the slide gently. Store flat away from light to keep the cord's color and the charm's finish. See KAGAKI jewelry care for full guidance.
