Design Concept

Bell – 鈴 began with the kind of quiet piece a wearer returns to without thinking. Green jade carved as lily-of-the-valley bells, with freshwater pearls as the dew — May’s flower, in stone that lasts past May. The pair is designed for daily wear — light at the ear, present in motion, quiet at rest. The kanji 鈴 means bell — a small visual anchor for what the earrings is about.

Material & Craft

Carved green jade bellflower drops (lily-of-the-valley form), freshwater pearl accents, gold-tone fittings. Sold as a pair. Each piece is finished by hand in small batches. Small variation between the two of a pair is part of the made-by-hand register, not a defect.
