Design Concept

Bamboo – 竹 began with the kind of quiet piece a wearer returns to without thinking. Green jade carved into bamboo segments — node after node, the way bamboo climbs — strung as a quiet wrist piece. Carved green jade bamboo-segment beads, elastic stringing. Carving depth and jade tone vary piece to piece. Each piece is finished by hand in small batches. Bead size and stone pattern vary subtly piece to piece — part of the made-by-hand register, not a defect. The elastic stringing is sized to most adult wrists.
