Design Concept

Anchor – 碇 began with a deliberate inversion of how cord bracelets usually feel. Most are nearly weightless, designed to disappear at the wrist; Anchor goes the other way. A single round bead of soft yellow nephrite jade — heavier than the entire cord that holds it — sits at the center, and the wrist gradually learns the small weight as ballast rather than burden. The bead is the anchor; the cord is the line; the body, throughout the day, becomes aware of being held.

Yellow nephrite jade is the warmer cousin of the more familiar green jade — a softer color register that reads less symbolically loaded, more like sun-warmed river stone than ceremonial green. A small pair of supporting accent beads frames the focal without competing with it; the hand-braided cord stays visually quiet so the stone is the center of the piece.
